Could someone tell me how they run?? I don't have any pants from JCrew. I'm comfortably in a size 6 at the Gap. Think they run about the same?? My rear/thighs are my problem area and I don't want them too tight so I'm wondering if I should size up??
For the most part, I've never been able to wear pants from J.Crew (I did find one pair of Chinos that fit but that was years ago). My problem areas are my butt/thighs as well and that's always the problem with those pants. J.Crew just cuts their pants really slim, I've found. If it helps at all, I'm a size 8 at Gap and wear a 10 in the one pair of J.Crew pants that I did find that fit. They definitely fitted around the butt/thighs, but not terribly so.
Do you have a J.Crew near you that you can return them to? I hardly ever buy anything from J.Crew online because their shipping charges are so awful, but I definitely never would if there wasn't one nearby that I could take returns to.

I haven't tried that particular pair, but in my experience they run about the same if not a little looser. My thighs are pretty athletic and j. crew's pants are great on me.
I just bought some JCrew navy cords and they fit perfect!! The only other pants that fit me like that are from Gap, so I'm guessing they're about the same. The cords are a 4 and are pretty true to the 4s I wear at Gap.
These are the right cut for J. Crew pants for gals with a booty - they are the city fit. City fit run pretty close to Gap sizing. I think you should order a 4 or a 6. The reason I say you might want to size down is that the J. Crew cords/pants really stretch.
On another note, if you have a J. Crew outlet near you, they have city fit cord pants on sale. They have this pant (with a cuff) on sale for 39.99. They also have the classic 5 pocket (with a trouser style leg) on clearance for less than $20. I just bought chocolate and black...
