The orange necklace and this top?  I came accross this necklace and thought it may work.  This outfit is for the Luau Shower I'm helping host.  The bride suggested we all wear black or brown dress pants and a bright colored top to set us apart from the 120 guests that we are expecting.  It'll be in March, so it'll still be too cool around here to wear skirts or dresses unless you put on the hose and we don't care to go there.  The guests will be dressed casual in jeans and bright colored tops.  It appears the hosts including myself and the bride are all going to be wearing the brown pants and different colored "bright" tops.  I'm trying to find a necklace to work with this shirt.  I thought of wearing a matching burnt orange colored lei (on the arm).

personally, i wouldn't worry about finding something with the turq and the brown incorporated. i'd go with a solid in a fun contrasting color like deep purple, orange, burgundy, or bright green. here are a few very affordable options, all from ebay -

i love this and think it would be really funky with your outfit -

for something a bit less bold -

that's just what i would do. or you could get a few necklaces in solid colors and layer them (using one in a turq color if you'd like to incorporate that).

Cute outfit. I think with that neckline bold earrings would be better than a necklace. Here are some ideas...

I think a burnt orange could go, but I don't know if this one does - I'd have to see them together. Just try it on and trust your eye... And have fun at the shower!

I am confused about the mixed reviews.  When I saw it I thought, "hell yeah."

i was just confused but then realized that you changed your original post! for a minute i thought i might have misread the post the first time and posted all of those necklaces for nothing, but then i figured out that you changed the wording of your original post to include the orange necklace that you found. i'm slow.

anyway... i suggested orange in my post because i think it would work well with the turquoise and brown and i think that the flower detail and the color of the necklace that you posted would be very cute and appropriate for the luau shower! i say go for it!

Oh, sorry Smash.  Didn't aim to confuse anyone.  I did change the original post after I came accross the orange necklace.

I say hell yeah too - especially for a luau shower - i think it's a great alternative. I love that necklace!

I have three of those necklaces on my watch list!

Love the green with brown & the orange necklace--it's perfect!
