COH Wearers....
Permalink Closed

I need your help.  I have the Ingrid Stretch in both a 28 and 29.  They both go on fine.  However, the 28 is tighter in the rear and thigh areas, but still looks good.  Thanks to the great quality of these jeans.  The size 29 fits perfect, not loose, but not as tight as the 28.  I've read review on these jeans on some sights that have said they ordered them in the smaller size because they stretched out some after wearing them and then the fit was perfect.  Any thoughts on that?  Also, the websites where the jeans were ordered from had the red emblems, when I received the jeans they had the blue emblems???  Can anyone explain the difference?  TIA!!

Well the jeans do stretch out, but usually within a few hours of wear...so if the 28 is still tight after a few hours I would go with the 29. As for the emblem, it depends on when the jeans were made, I know they changed their design slighty in the last year(?), I think the blue is the newer model...

I agree.  They do stretch a little, but not as much as 7s (at least for me).  I have COHs in 27s and 28s.  I wear the 28s much more than I wear the 27s b/c they are more comfortable.  HTH

I have had my COH for about a year now and I should have sized down.  When I first got them they were tight, maybe even a little too tight.  I would put them in the cleaners because I didnt want to ruin the crease in the front of the leg.  After wearing them for a while they started to stretch out and I would put them in the washing machine thinking they would shrink or something.  That didnt work either.  I still wear them and they still look cute but If I dont wear them with a belt I will have to keep pulling them up.

not a COH experience, but the pair of true religion i bought recently were really tight -- i wore them a bunch of times before i washed them the first time, barely stretched at all.  then i washed them (in cold, hung to dry) and the first time i wore them they stretched a ton.  so, maybe stick with the smaller ones?  they might stretch more and then the 29 would be too big.

rar210, it sounds like me and you are about the same size - when I bought my COHs (stretch bootcut, I think the style is called Kelly) I was debating between a 28, which fit quite snug, and a 29, which were a little roomy. I prefer my jeans to be tight so I went with the 28s, and I'm so glad I did. They've stretched out enough to be comfortable yet still a bit snug in the rear/thigh area, which is fine with me. They get pretty tight after a wash (I only put them in the washing machine; I line dry because I'm way too paranoid about the dryer shrinking my jeans even more) but become more forgiving after a few hours of wear. So if you like your jeans on the tighter side, go for the 28s...

I wish I could help you out with the red vs. blue labels but I'm kind of confused about them myself. Rocky's explanation sounds right though.
