ebay feedback question...

I don't really know why sellers with good feedback ratings would keep it private, but maybe it's to protect the identity of the buyers completely (instead of just making the auction id number private). This is especially true if they're selling higher-end items. That's about the only other reason I can think of. I think I've bought before from buyers with private feedback, as long as they've made a decent number of sales before and have a 98% or higher rating. The ones you'd want to stay away from are the sellers that have private feedback and a low score. At least that's my opinion. Maybe someone else knows another reason why sellers would keep it private, because now I'm curious...

I don't know maybe she sells sexy things or controversial stuff like gay porn or lingerie for gay men or special "toys" or maybe she buys racy stuff on ebay. Or maybe she just had one really bad feedback. Or maybe she just wants to keep her sales private so that you can't see what she buys. You can learn a lot about people on ebay by looking at their feedback and what they have bought and sold.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Thanks. I'm going to buy it. I'm sure it'll be fine. Guess I'm just curious like that. The weird thing is, though, when I was searching through the black pashminas listed, about half had private feedback. I don't run into that usually when looking for clothes, shoes or other accessories. Maybe she does buy items in bulk on eBay and then resells them. Who knows.
