color advice needed!

So I am wanting to put up chocolate brown drapes with my tan/pumkin color scheme. I think it looks amazing. However will it clash with my dining room furniture which has bronze and black finishes? Or does the old black/brown rule not really apply anymore?

Opinions please!

In my opinion it doesn't apply, esp with furniture. Sounds beautiful!

Thanks :) I had my husband hold up a long chocolate brown blanket last night next to the windows to get the effect and I think it looks really great now - I guess I just needed some reassurance!

You could always pick a chocolate curtain with a slight sheen to compliment the bronze tones in the furniture if you are still in doubt.
