My husband bought me these jeans for Valentine's Day and I need some help on what colors to wear with them. They are Black Vintage...a faded slighty dirty black. I mostly wear black but I am not sure a black top would look right. I would appreciate any suggestions!

Thanks!!

A good place to start is to determine what colors are going to work best with them. You can do this best by putting them on the floor in your room, and just running past every top you have (or at least those that might make work) past the pants, laying them nearby and getting a good view. the jean style it's self is really universal, so in my opinion it's going to boil down to color. Off the top of my head I'm thinking teal, ivory, gray, red, and then maybe tweedy materials, like tweed jackets. a belt might break up your look, so that's another option.

just experiment with 'em in your closet - it'll help you sort out what'll work and then also give you a sense of what may work that you can buy.

I've seen a lot of people wearing black tops with black jeans and it looks fine. In fact, my sister was wearing a black tank with distressed black Diesel jeans and a big white belt last night and it looked nice.

thanks for the ideas. I actually went ahead and wore them today with a black belt and a black shirt and it looked fine. I have another pair of faded black jeans that I wear black tops with all the time but these new ones have that "dirty" tint to them and it just threw me off at first.
