FINALLY I am going to get some new glasses frames!  I usually wear my contacts but that's just cause I don't like my frames.  I would LOVE it if anyone has suggestions on cute frame styles they have seen lately.  I am open to tortoise-shell style, wire, anything really--mainly just something fun that I will not mind wearing in public!

i just picked out new glasses yesterday!  i went to SEE boutique www.seeeyewear.com (they dont have nearly the selection online that they do in the store though) and found an adorable pair of black frames that are slight cat-eye... i adore them!  it seemed to me that the platic frames in black or tortoise with the contrasting colors are still really popular...

I wear these in a cinnamon colored metal. I don't like wearing them (i am strictly a contact lens kinda girl. Scarred from having to wear glasses since I was 8) but my bf thinks I look really cute.

I actually have to buy new glasses too! I love Selima Optique because they carry their own frames plus a million other styles... Also the girls there are super helpful. What I like most about the Selima line is that if there is a style you like they make it in every color imaginable. Unfortunately my last pair with them rang up to $350+ and I have a very light perscription.

Here's the link Selima Optique

Thanks so much y'all!

BrazenCanadian--those frames are very similar to the ones I have now--in a cinnamon color too!  I think the style is cute on other people but when I wear them I feel like I'm having one of those "Hi, I was too lazy to put in my contacts" days. . .

Bex and Dot--These are great boutiques!  Just the kind of thing i was looking for.  Since neither one has a store near me, I will probably just get the frames from my optometrist's office--hopefully they will have something similar there!  Yay, I'm excited!

I like it too--I think my eye guy (hehe I like my new name for him) might carry Brooks Brothers--I'll definitely check that out!  Thanks!

I believe in the power of geek glasses.

I used to have frames just like the ones on the girl below. I should really get a new set of frames, it seems to be a popular request that I bring my glasses into rotation more.

I have frames similar to those, but not as long.  More funky than geeky, but still a little bit of a librarian feel to them.

I wear 'geek' frames by Ralph Lauren and I love them, but you really should go in to try on lots of different frames to see what is best for your face. But if you find a pair of Ralph Lauren or Chanel frames you like, get them, they hold up really well (I've had both frames for about 6 years, don't wear the Chanels too often because they are black--looked better when I had blonde hair).

I have these from Gucci in silver (silver is much nicer than the picture shown)...  Love them!  fashionable and confortable...  I get compliments on them all the time.

Ialso have the geek glass from Dior below...  Always wear them when I have an important presentation...  makes me look smarter

Anyway, you should try as many styles as you can to find the one that fits the shape of your face..

I wear "geek frames" too.

But I always would rather be wearing my contacts.
