deep conditioner for newly highlighted hair

Hi Ladies!
So I got my hair highlighted over the weekend.  I've never dyed/highlighted my hair in the past and I want to make sure to keep it healthy.  I have dark fine curly hair.  My hairdresser told me I should be deep conditioning every other shampoo.  Does anyone use any amazing deep conditioning product that they love?

Also does anyone use caster oil? How to use? does it work?

Kerastase has awesome hair masks but they're pricey. What's your $ limit?

Castor oil is supposed to stimulate growth. It's very viscous. Just rub in and wash out.

If you need a cheapie deep conditioning treatment, just put olive oil or almoind oil in your hair at night and wash it out in the morning.

Also, be careful that your shampoo's not too stripping.

Deep conditioning ever other shampoo sounds a little extreme to me. Does your hairdresser have curly hair?
I have thick curly hair and dye it on a regular basis. I condition my hair every day, but only shampoo every other day. If you're worried about it becoming dry and/or brittle, I'd highly recommend using John Freida's daily nourishment spray, and a little bit of serum.  I like the zero frizz hair serum a lot.
A little bit of olive oil is a real hair saver as well.  But, I mean very little!

I use Davines Vegetarian Miracle, it totally rocks. I use it every time I wash my hair, but I only wash my hair twice a week so that would explain why I use it every timewink.gif.
