Seriously, I am just uninspired. What do you guys like to snack on? I'm a big snacker, and I need to snack often so that my blood sugar stays level, and I don't get all crazy. Please post your fav snacks. Healthy and filling is always good.

I like to pick  at different foods when I snack...like have a little bit of this and then a little bit of that, but nothing sounds good anymore.

Any good websites to get some ideas?

I like to dip triscuits in hummus. I could eat a whole meal of that!

And this isn't very healthy, but my favorite snack in the world is apples dipped in chocolate peanut butter (it's by a company called "Peanut Butter Dreams," in the peanut butter aisle). I can't even keep it in the house anymore or else I'll blow through it in a matter of days!

A great snack that is filling and not bad for you is a granny smith apple and 2 tablespoons of natural peanut butter (for dipping). I just love it!!

I like sliced apples.  For some reason I prefer them sliced over just biting into a whole apple (Granny Smith is my fave).

Nuts.  I buy pecan pieces, slivered almonds, and soy nuts bulk.  I try to not just eat from the bag because I'll overdo it.

Cereal is a great snack!

Splurging on a good or favorite cheese is nice.  For convenience, I'll slice it into sticks or cubes at home and put it in a bag or tupperware.

CLIF MOJO bars are good.  I like them cuz they're not loaded with sugar.  The wrapper says "Low-glycemic"  Perfect for sweet-salty cravings

baby carrots or carrrots cut into sticks.

Nut Thin crackers (almond and pecan are so good)

Lately I'm into Nature Valley Oats & Honey granola bars.

I also like to get those little tubs of salad and goodies from the deli in the grocery store and snack on them.  Yesterday day I got sesame noodle salad and cranberry orange relish!

There is always fruit and veggies!

And in the bakery you can get those bags of little sliced bread and they also make delicious dip for those.

FYI: Right now I'm snacking on a bismark donut and pomegranate lemonade!

toast sounds so boring but can be good, with a little butter - hits the spot.

This thread is making me hungry.  Now I want hummus and pita chips!!!!

Some things I like for snacking:

-100-cal bags of popcorn
-Sugar-free pudding cups
-Baked tortilla chips and salsa
-Cut veggies w/hummus
-Homemade parfaits (fat free plain yogurt, defrosted berries, granola)
-English muffin w/cream cheese, avocado, and tomato on top
-Pickles!
-Frozen grapes

Do you cook often?  I always make extra when I cook dinner and then dole it out into containers for lunches/snacking.  This is especially handy for sturdier salads - chopped veggie salad w/a vinegary dressing, pasta salad, quinoa salad, etc - that are good cold.  That way you're eating something healthy and filling instead of taking a bite of this or that, trying to figure out what sounds good!

When you have a little more time:

French Baguette, sliced into medium thickness medallions
Very light spread of butter for each medallion
jar of artichoke hearts packed in olive oil
grated parmesean cheese (from dairy section in tubs)
freshly ground pepper

Spread a little butter on the bread
place an artichoke heart or pieces of some on the bread
sprinkle a little cheese on top
small bit of pepper

Place in the toaster oven until golden brown.  Watch them closely

Eat

They're really good (and visitors like them too)

Cherry Pie Larabars. Oh. Mah. Gawd. Seriously nutritious and so, so yummy.

And pretzels of any type, as long as they're salty.
