I think I might join the shopping ban. (First I might get that black BR top with the twisty ruching bit) But anyway, I normally spend my Saturday at the mall so I must break that habit. What do you girls do instead of shopping?
I've slipped, but am back on the ban. I usually end up reading my magazines that have piled up & once I'm done, put them in a box for donation. I've also been cleaning out my closet & makeup stuff. Feels good to purge unused items.
Clean out your closet. Re-organize everything, maybe try on some different cominations to see if you can come up with some "new" outfits without even shopping. Also, make a pile for donations and another pile for ebay sales. Take pictures and write descriptions for ebay. You could also go through your house generally for old or unused items for ebay. Then take all the money you make on ebay and spend it on something. In my opinion you really aren't breaking the ban if you spend money you made by getting rid of old stuff; it's like an exchange.
Re-organize your closet, donate to charity, clean the house, read a book. Sometimes if I get really antsy to be in a store, I'll go to Barnes & Noble (the library would work too) and grab a stack of mags and books and hunker down in one of their armchairs for a few hours.

I second the suggestions of cleaning out your closet and Barnes and Noble. I like to get a monster cup of coffee and hide from my kids and husband there on free Saturday afternoons.
I go to a Saturday morning spinning class, and just focus on my other hobbies on the weekends. If you resist the shops first thing, I think it's easier.
