One of my BFFs wants to wear this dress for her rehearsal dinner but at $2k, it's a bit insane. Any look-a-likes out there or something much more reasonable? Price isn't a huge obstacle (unless it's $2,000!). Her colors are purple and green like in this dress and she's just barely using the colors in her wedding (strictly as accents in flowers and arrangements and such), so she really wants to wear them to her rehearsal dinner.

Any help is appreciated!

no help on the exact colors, but i feel like this jcrew dress has a similar feel to it...(also comes in a blue)

She already has purple shoes to wear, so a pattern is best because she won't have to worry about being too matchy-matchy. But I bet she'd be open to more shoes... wink.gif

There's also a floor length version of this dress and it comes in gold. It literally took my breath away. I wanted to try it on even though I have absolutely nowhere to wear it but I was afraid to in case when I put it on I never wanted to take it off. It reminded my of that episode of Friends where Monica and Phoebe (I think?) wore wedding dresses around the house just because it made them feel good!

What about the Nanette Lepore dress that Vanessa posted about recently?  The only place I've found it online is Bloomingdales which only has it in a size 2 but it's only $195.  Maybe some stores still have it.

This is a totally different style from the MK dress but I just found it on sale on the Tracy Reese site.  It looks like they have every size left and it's only $96 with free shipping.

Good find! She really liked the NL one, although she's usually a 4. I think she'll order it to see if it fits, but I think she'll like this one even better.

Thanks for looking! If anyone has any other suggestions, I'll pass those along too. (I've passed all the suggestions on so far!)

I have to agree with FP on this one.  Those shoes seem much to fall/office-esque to wear with a dainty floral dress.  JMO.

ayo - that Maladrino dress is beautiful! Money is not really an object for her, unless it's $2,000 like the MK dress! I'll send her the JCrew dress as well, but I think the CM dress is more what she's looking for.

FP and Farrah - she bought the wine colored shoes because she liked them. I'm pretty sure she's willing to buy others for the rehearsal dinner. They're not a deal breaker.

If you guys come across any others as the new fall season starts, please post. Her wedding isn't until November so she has a little bit of time.
