How did everyone do this weekend? I didn't do so well My mom wanted to get out of town to do some shopping and I was holding strong until she was like well would you try stuff on if I bought you something (my trick is that if I don't try it on I'm safe with not buying it) so then I broke down. She did buy me a really nice pair of pants from the BR outlet, a cute shirt from there, and a cute shirt from Gap outlet that matches a pair of pants I bought there. But its all work appropriate stuff so I can't really get down on myself for buying the pants and I am seriously lacking in that area and in general with clothes that fit (I'll post this stuff in the weekend shopping section later).
I got the bf knocked out for v-day and our anniversary too so I'm glad with that. No more shopping this week!
I was bad & went thrifting on Friday. Hit one store & got a LARGE beach bag full of stuff (about 13 items total) for only $15. I then hit another thrift store & got a vintage circle skirt, GAP jacket, scarf & BN beaded Shell Segal Dress all for only $2.50. One thrift store had a boho-type wrap skirt & 2 cardigans for only $7 & another had these BN vintage Aviators, eggshell coat & sweater for $14. The best was through Goodwill though w/a vintage red trench, 5 skirts & Nine West wedges for only $35.
I'm set for Spring & for an upcoming trip to SF, but I have to stop & get back on the wagon.
Only bought milk and a couple of mags.I really excersised self control at the Lancome counter! They had a nice purchase w/ purchase! just walked away and took my butt home after work!
I was good this weekend, although it is getting tougher with all the cute new spring stuff in the malls and magazines. I just bought groceries and a tube of mascara to replace my old one. Just trying to hold strong until March 10!! Have a good week ladies!

I was unbelievably good this week - all I bought was groceries! I'm starting to feel the need to shop again though, so I think I'll head to Barnes & Noble next weekend b/c I still have a GC leftover from Christmas. That should hold me over for a little while longer!

I was very good again, although I realized today as I was going through my bras that I am going to have to go shopping for a few soon, I rationalize this as a necessity purchase so technically I won't be dropping my hiatus since it didn't apply to basics!

I just went through and weeded out my underwear/bra drawer and came to the same conclusion. I need new bras. It felt sooo good to clean out my drawer and get rid of the stuff I never wore so I could start fresh.
Now that a few weeks have passed since I last shopped, its actually easy now! No shopping at all this weekend. I am so frugal at this point I am considering buying shampoo and conditioner from the drugstore (I will be running out in a few days) just to save a few more bucks. And I am seriously considering waiting for sales before I purchase anymore spring/summer stuff.
