Short vs Petite

I'm 5'4 too and short and petite lenghts are usually too short on me. Maybe check a pair of pants or jeans that are a good length and measure their inseam and see what is closest to what ON is offering. I didn't know ON offered both short and petite.

I think petite a lot of times also has to do with the rise because most petite people also have shorter torsos.

Petite usually implies that the garment is smaller all around. "Ankle" and "Short" I think implies that the inseam is shorter. I am 5'4" and ankle length usually doesn't work unless I know I'll be wearing them with flats only.

Yeah - I think some of it has to do with your proportions. I'm 5'4" and change, but I cannot wear anything marked petite or short cuz I have long legs for my height.

Everyone's inseam is different so going by height is impossible. e.g. I am 5'3" and I have a friend that is 5'8": we can wear the same pants though because she has a long torso.

Why don't you measure your own inseam or the inseam of a pair of pants that you like? Every girl should know her inseam length!
