As some of you may remember, I bought a coat from Old Navy on a damage discount (for a couple snags on the arm/torso) about a month ago. When I got the coat home, I found a HUGE rip underneath one of the arms but when I tried to return it with the receipt they wouldn't take it back b/c it had been damage discounted (DD) .
Soooo, when they DD an item they mark the tag with the item # with a permanent marker - I cut out that tag and took it back saying it was a gift. She ended up finding the code in their 'code book' and taking it back, crediting my gift card $43!
Moral of the story: It was in their best interest to take it back the first time when I had the receipt showing I paid $23 for the coat on DD. Instead, they ended up taking it back anyway and giving me $43 b/c that's what the tag showed. That's what they get for being morons !
I win !

Good for you! That happened to me at Urban with a skirt that I bought. They gave me money off because the zipper was ripped, but when I got home their were tons of sequins missing from it too (it was suppose to be for NYE).
When I took it back the guy was like I told you this was a final sale and I was like, yeah but that was for the zipper. Do you see all of the crap missing on it? The threads were even hanging off of it where everything was gone. He wouldn't hear it and he was such an ass! Talking to me like I was a 5 year old and I probably had 8 years on him. Sooooo, I clipped the tag and took it to another Urban, said it was a gift and they gave my money back no questions asked.
FYI, that was the Urban on Rush in Chicago. Avoid that one, they suck there. Go to the one on Clark instead - the cute boy was very nice at that one!!
