i voted for the j.crew jacket. i saw all the old navy jackets in person and they weren't really impressive (with the exception of the solid one). the material was kind of icky. plus imo, the j.crew one looks much more refined & grown-up, while the on ones are kind of cutesy.

Get the J. Crew one...last year's coral jacket was gorgeous and this one is quite possibly even more gorgeous. I've seen the ON ones IRL and they're not that great. Plus it suits your style really well.

Ok I picked #2 but thought I'd pass along that I saw the green check one the other day and the one with the smaller checked pattern looks a little better imo.

The J.Crew one is beautiful! I ordered the solid green ON one because it's so cheap and I love the color, but the jcrew one looks VERY nice. I don't know how much the jcrew one is, but I would get the jcrew one AND the solid green one.The solid one is a bit more versatile and the jcrew one is more special. Might be too much green for you, but I have a slight obsession with all things green (I have 5 pairs of green shoes).

The JCrew one is beautiful, no doubt.


But I voted for #2 because I like getting 2 more than 1!


Plus, I saw the green checked one in the store at ON and I really liked it. I didn't check it carefully for quality because I was in a hurry but I was tempted to grab it right then and buy it, which I usually don't do, because it was so cute. Except, I'd wait until it goes on sale. $40ish is too much for ON.

i choose #3, b/c i think jcrew stuff is overpriced and i don't see that jacket being something you'll wear forever (JMO).  but i also think $40 is alot for old navy and you have to check their quality in person.


on the other hand, if the jcrew is w/i your budget, then go for that one -- better to have one really good piece that you love than 2 that are okay.

I vote J Crew. I saw the check jackets at ON and I thought they were ugly and I thought they looked cheap. The solid green jacket from ON was a lot better then the check ones but the J Crew Jacket is much better.

I chose #3 too, I think you'll get more wear out of the solid. It is only $40 so even if the quality is not the best you still get good use out of it.

Ok so I went to buy the J.Crew jacket and I didn't like it on. I saw a sales girl wearing it and I didn't like it on her or me...
So I went to Old Navy and the printed jackets were not good either. I was really sad. So now I am going to search for a really nice spring/summer weight solid either pink or green jacket. So if you happen to see one that is under $300 let me know. Thanks everyone.
