Frye Boots
Permalink Closed

I have been looking at some Frye boots lately, and I'm interested in buying myself a pair.  Any of you girls that own them, can you tell me how versatile they are, how comfortable, what you usually wear them with, and which style and color you have?

i think i like these

I have the Frye Campus 14 in Saddle.

I wear them all the time. Now that it's been raining, I wear these when I don't want to wear my rainboots and they keep my feet nice and dry. They are very comfortable for what is essentially a pair of 2" heels and solidly made. I've walked in them all day and my feet are fine for the most part.

I wear them with both jeans and skirts (some pleated plaid minis, denim minis, denim knee length). I wear t-shirts on top or hoodies or causal cami/blazer combos. I estimate that I wear them 2-3 times a week.

I don't own Frye's, but I do love cowboy boots. I wear them all the time, and I wear them going out or for just lounging around.

I am really into these! But $423!!! Ack!

The ones you picked are definitely more for everyday wear. I think they are a good choice.

I have the banana boots that you posted. I really liked them, but I never wore them. I gave them to my sister. I thought I would wear them with skirts, but it just didn't happen. I really wasn't digging them with jeans or cords because they made me feel like a cowboy. There were pretty comfy. I usually wear some sort of tennis shoe, so I find most shoes uncomfy. These wer not though. I was pretty surprised.

Karina i just got the exact boots you posted for xmas and i have worn them about 4 times.  so i say they are a good investment.  i first 2 times i wore them they hurt so i think they may have to be broken in a bit, but i do love them and think they are super cute and versitile.

I've been looking at them too, Karina... I think I may "invest" as well... I've had these on my mind for quite a while...

bumblebee -- my dad has a pair of old school fryes that he has been wearing since the 70s and they are still in great shape.  so if they're still making them the same, the soles should hold up well.

Buy Them! Fryes are so well made. I think they fit better than most of the 'country' style coots i have tried on (like Justins) plus they are much more versitile. i wear mine with jeans or casual pants, i go everywhere in them. i've had mine for a year and they're broken in without looking worn or ratty. i've got the harness boots and i'm lusting after these:

i wear an 8.5, i bought an 8.5 and they are a tad too big...  i don't think i could have gone to an 8 though...  but i just wear thick socks underneath ( how sexy is that??? )

so i say get the size you usually wear.
