versatile and cute sneakers

Does anyone have a suggestion on versatile (wear with numerous casual outfits i.e. jeans and tops) and cute sneakers?

Before I go on my self-imposed spending freeze (inspired by Farrah and my debt) I'd like to get a pair of sneakers to get me through the rest of winter.  I'm thinking of these but I'm not sure if they are as versatile as I would like.

Basically I'm trying to get the most value for my money, especially since I know I won't be able to purchase any additional sneakers from now until mid March.

Thoughts?  Suggestions?  Anyone have a sneaker right now that they love?  Thanks!!

I know this isn't the same as what you are looking at but I just went to the addidas outlet in Orlando and they are having a huge sale.  I was able to get a pair of tennis shoes that were really cute for $35.  I ended up with mainly white and a little silver and pink.  I'll post them later.  If you have a good outlet mall nearby you can score some awesome tennis shoes there.  You might have to try some different sizes though.  To get mine I had to go from a 6.5 to a 5.5!

I think the ones you picked would go with a lot since they are white and black.

Here are my new shoes:

I Looove those! Almost bought them (I have like 3 pairs of puma sneakers..) but I have a pair of white mesh mostros and they got SO DIRTY! (granted I wore them constantly last year..) But that white mesh gets so dirty so quick and no matter how much I scrub with bleach and a tooth brush, they're never really the same. Thus I have a pair of perfectly cute sneakers that I can't wear because they're so dingy. Just so you know what you're getting into if you do buy them! (love 'em though!)

Cute sneakers to me are the old, classic kinds. All the ones I'm posting will look awesome in a jeans and top outfit. Here are my suggestions:

$70

$40 (on sale at Journeys.com)

$70

$40 (on sale at Jouneys.com)

$30-$40 depending on your shoe size.

$40

$50

$38 These would look awesome with jeans. It'll give off a "punky" vibe if you're into mixing up your style. They also come in the normal black/white checkers but I thought these came in neat colors.

$70

$75

$60

I'm usually a Puma kinda of gal (Puma Suede and the Puma California) but after seeing the Addidas ones I posted, I might have to get one of those!

Hope these helps ya!

Thanks for all the suggestions - I especially like the first ones that exsupahero posted (I'm very much a Puma kind of girl).  I also found these on the Puma site, which I like because they are still fun yet a little less flashy than the gold/white pair I posted earlier:

What I really like about these is that I could wear my brown puffy vest and my black not as puffy vest with them (those two things have become a staple in my closet).

Great, now I have a decision to make........  Any closing thoughts?

Update: Never mind they don't have my size left in the grey/silver/brown combo

I love H-streets. I have a pair in grey/gold/red. I actually find my anjans to be more versatile  and more comfortable though:

I'm also with exsupahero on the chuck taylors. A pair of black or dark green will go with almost everything.

Halleybird, I really like the anjans you posted - but of course they don't have my size in the color I want.  The story of my sneaker search.  Anyway, I'll try to find them on Puma site.  Thanks!

Trixie, what color do you want? I feel like I've seen them a bunch of places, though of course I can't remember now

Halleybird, I like the anjans in putty, the third color down from the top on the pic you posted.  I searched for a while online and couldn't find them in my size, but I did find these in my size at jildorshoes.com:

Woohoo!  I ordered them yesterday - I hope I like them when I see them in person.
