I am not a drinker at all- not because I disapprove, but because I just can't stand the way it tastes. I don't even like the taste of rum balls. I was wondering if any of you have suggestions on some kind of fruity champagne to drink or New Years Eve type beverage. I was hoping for something kind of fruity and the less it tastes like alcohol the better. Thanks for any help!

It took me forever to accustomed to alcohol enough to actually drink more than a sip. The only drink I've tried which didn't taste at all like booze is a Midori sour. Midori is melon liqueur and it is really sweet, but with enough sour mix it tastes just like a watermelon Jolly Rancher. They aren't very strong so that might be a good choice if you aren't used to drinking. Sometimes they serve it like a pina colada so it's all girly looking, but usually I've gotten it in a lowball glass.
People used to order me all sorts of fruity, girly drinks but I could always taste the alcohol. The only things that I could stomach were vodka&cranberry and seabreezes (vodka, cranberry, grapefruit). Cranberry juice usually covers up the taste of vodka, especially if the drink is weak.
have you ever tried schnapps? peach schnapps tastes just like candy to me. peach schnapps and champagne might be really tasty. also, i agree with cc about midori, that tastes like candy too.
I like pink champagne. If you can get through the first glass then you will do ok. I think its the intial shock of alcohol that gets me but once I get past that first glass it all tastes good afterwards.
midoris are good, as are amaretto sours, and cosmos. also ask for good alcohol. the better the alcohol, the better the taste it really, really makes a difference. if you're getting a vodka drink, i really like ketel one, it's really smooth and doesn't taste alcoholy.
