Is anyone here a college professor or an adjunct college professor? I'd like to get into teaching part-time at the college level for design/writing/communications (I'm currently a graduate student), but I have no idea how to go about doing it. Any advice? Thanks!

I'm not, but I have been looking into it. Usually you can apply through the CCs themselves. I know the ones here usually want you to be finished with your master's or within a semester or so of finishing. I know one person in my class who was allowed to teach with 18 units (but she already had an MA in a different discipline).

Hey! I have an interview coming up for an adjunct position. Since you're a grad student, the best way to go about it is to first get some experience teaching as a grad assistant if you can. That way once you get your MA, you can use your degree and experience to land an adjunct position. Like halleybird says, they usually want you to have your MA first, but smaller community colleges can be less strict sometimes.
