oh no! requiem for a shoe

I totally jinxed my favorite shoes by listing them in my "closet all-stars" response (in the polls section) the other week.  Totally snapped the heel in my fave Charles David aspire pumps... may they rest in peace.  That sh*t is so not fixable.  They'd never be right again (in my experience).

dc's C.D. Aspires, 2002-2004... RIP (insert sad music here)  sniff...

Charles David Aspire

I had to run home from the office and change into my Choo slingbacks, which - while totally foxy - are not really high enough for the dress I am wearing.  My legs look short.  Argh.

SO - need new black pumps, 3.5 inch heel.  Plain - no ruching or little bows or anything.  Must be pointy and stiletto.  I thought I had seen Manolos like this recently but now can't find them.  Anyone seen any - Manolo, Choo, or other luscious brand?  I am not turning them up on NM or Saks sites (maybe I just need to haul my lazy butt to the store).  These are shoes I'd wear like 3 days per week, so I am all about quality and cost-per-wear.  No cheapies.  Leather sole and upper preferred.  Help!

Here are a couple I stumbled upon on Saks.com the other day. I almost bought the MK ones, but didn't because I got so much loot (check out my saks post).  They're now sold out on the website, but if you call there's a good chance they might have them.  I did that for the gold MJs I just got.  They sold out online but the Chicago store still had them and they're being held for me till my return.

oh that's so sad! can you just buy the same pair again? or do you want to upgrade?

i feel like that style shoe is probably a standard manolo or choo so maybe you'll have to take a trip to the stores. this might even call for a nyc shopping expedition.

Hey, thank you girls!  I think I have to get down to saks and see what they have inperson.  I like the choo pumps and also the kors... and the kenneth coles are almost a dead ringer (except I've had heels on those snap before as well).

Anyway - I'll let you know what I choose ~ thanks again!
