They used to take road trips to different casino's. They always played the same roles on the trip, my mom drove, Clem took care of directions and Genny sat in the back and made everyone laugh.
So my Aunt Genny thought it would be funny to make them all name tags on their last trip up to Ohio. My mom's read Driver, Aunt Clem's read Navigator. Aunt Genny's read Back Seat Entertainer. She never understood why people kept staring at her all day.
She was just funny like that and today she died. Breast Cancer. It sucks, it really really sucks.

I am sorry Collette, that you lost your aunt and your mother lost her sister. It sounds like they were very close--that is the relationship I hope to have with my little sister someday. I know this may not help with dealing with her death, but it your mother has some good memories she can always relive.
I'm sorry to hear that, Collette. But it sounds like you all have some really wonderful memories of your aunt to hold on to--I hope that that somehow makes it hurt less.
I'm so sorry, Collette. It's so weird when such an amazing person passes. Because even if you didn't know them or even hear about them until they've passed, you miss them. Like the whole world is simultaneously a sadder place without them but a better place because of them. Your aunt sounds like one of those people. Take care and big hugs sweetie.
I'm so sorry Collette, I'm wishing you comfort. This has really been an odd week.. I lost an Aunt to breast cancer this past weekend as well..while speaking to a cousin she informed me of a close friend she lost to breast cancer this as well weekend and I think of D and her situation and now I read this....
