i really liked it when i saw it in a few magazines, and then decided against buying it when i saw it in person--it is a very bright yellow type of gold, and it looked a little silly.  i wanted it to be a bit more subtle, like a champagne color.

My sister-in-law was wearing it as a belt this weekend, and it actually looked really cute, not cheap.
I'd say go for it, it all depends what you pair it with.
