Great book!  It was so creepy though, how they actually lived.

It gave me such a feeling of humility.. like as bad as I thought my childhood was, it was nothing compared to this woman's experience. And on top of it, she came out of it successful, without regrets and with compassion and understanding. A must read!

Oh no, not at all.  The book is a memoir and constantly makes your jaw drop.  I highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed it. For some reason the book resonated with me. I would read it again. It made me appreciate what I have and my childhood, even though it wasn't perfect, I am now more thankful for it. Some things in the book were hard to believe could actually happen to a family but at the same time, I found her writing style made it all very believable.
