Are you supposed to bring an hor d'houevre/dessert or a meal-type dish?

I'm having one on friday and am bringing a chocolate cake. I wanted to make my special chineese chicken wings but three people are making chicken already... :(

Make fudge !!!  I make this every year and it dissappears extremely quickly, and people always ask for the recipe!

1 Can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk (I get the low-fat variety)

1 and 1/2 Cups Milk chocolate chips

1 and 1/2 Cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 and 1/2 Teaspoons vanilla extract

Dash salt

Melt chocolate chips and condensed milk over low heat, stirring occassionally until chips are almost melted completely.  Add salt and vanilla and continue to stir fudge is glossy and no chip lumps remain.  Pour into an 8by8 or 9by9 inch pan lined with tin foil and sprayed lightly with non-stick cooking spray.  Chill in fridge for 2 hours or until firm.  Cut into 1-inch squares.

Even though it sounds a little long, it takes less than ten minutes and there are endless variations.  Here are my favorites:

Mocha Fudge

Same recipe as above, but reduce vanilla to 1 teaspoon and add 3 tablespoons of chocolate syrup and 1 tablespoon instant coffee at the end of cooking.

Almond Fudge

Add 1/2 to 1 cup of chopped almonds (or any nut of your choice) at the end of cooking.

There are many more variations on their website at www.eaglebrand.com
