can anyone recommend a facial moisturizer for me? i have pale, sensitive skin. it gets dry in the winter months, but in the summer it's usually fine. i've been using nivea visage simply glowing, but it's pretty much gone and i'd like to try something new. i would prefer to stay under $20. any suggestions?? thanx!!

I've used Oil of Olay since I was a teenager and still love it. I recently bought LaMer and regret it, should have stuck with the good old stand by Olay!

I have L'Oreal SPF 15 vitamin E or something like that, and I love it. It has only a very light scent, and it goes away quickly. I had a hard time with Olay because I found the scent overpowering and it didn't go away. Plus this moisturizer sinks in quickly and doesn't leave my skin feeling sticky.

Collette are you warming up the LaMer in your hands before applying it?  Otherwise it can feel really heavy.  But if you don't want yours, by all means return it--or if you don't want to do that, let me know.  Probably any of my friends would buy it off of you (I can't because I just bought some).

Have you tried Cetaphil lotion and supplement with the cream where your skin is drier? I like to keep things like moisturizers really simple and Cetaphil is IMHO the best drugstore moisturizer.

I really love Aveeno's "Positively Radiant" moisturizer. My skin sounds like yours (pale, a little dry in the winter and fine in the summer) and I've been very happy with it. I only use about half a pump at a time and it lasts me almost a year for a $15 bottle.

My skin has gotten dry this winter too. (I have pale and sensitive skin too). My regular Olay wasn't doing anything for me, so I tried Pond's dry skin cream and it works really well. The only thing I don't like about it is how oily it is and has a stronger scent. Hopefully I can go back to my Olay facial lotion once winter is over with. Love that stuff!

Same skin situation.  I switched to Clinique dramatically different moiturizing lotion and I love it!  It's always a treat to put it on, and there is no scent.   You can probably get set up with a 10 day sample if you ask for it.

Oh, and of course there is Olay which for me doesn't moisturize as well.  Plus the scent is stronger.  They do have a sensitive formula with no scent but my face had some allergic reaction to it.  Probably all the vitamin sunscreen crap they put in it.

i'm a big fan of mario badescu.  i use the buttermilk mosurizer in the AM and the seaweed night cream before bed.  my skin is very tolerant but my BF has the most sensitive skin ever and loves the stuff.

I love L'ocitane. Its a bit more than $20, but not much and it lasts a while. The tube I bought in November is still about half full.
