I use opti free replenish. Supposedly it retains moisture for extra comfort. It's the only solution I've ever used so i can't compare it to anything else, but my eyes are never dry so I assume it does what it claims.

Ummm, I use the Equate brand and my eyes have been dry here lately too. Never thought about the fact that it could be my solution... I just figured it was the weather combined with dry sinuses (sp?). Maybe I should try another brand.
I've also comtemplated those one moisture lock or whatever contacts... anyone try them?
Clear Care, the one where you have to use the special case it comes with. My eyes aren't dry most of the time and I find this gets contacts the cleanest.

i use this too, just be careful not to use it after it expires or brown shit will come out...i learned this the hard way.

My eye Dr. made me use this after I got myself into some trouble wearing my contacts too long. Basically, my corneas looked like dartboards, which should normally look smooth and glassy. I'm assuming it had something to do with dryness + lack of oxygen.
However, I'm a product junkie and I like to change products frequently, so I switched to Acquify, which I think is made by Bausch and Lomb. I'd recommend either of these though. I've tried the Opti-Free Replenish, and I didn't see any extra comfort for my dry eyes.

Ha! I'm the same way. It never occurred to me it could be my solution, except I use Target brand. I might try a new brand now...
As for the extra moisture contacts, I've tried just about all of them. For me, they worked way worse than normal contacts. My eyes felt exhausted all the time, like I hadn't slept in days. My eye doctor let me try out about 3 or 4 different brands of contacts meant for dry eyes. None of them were good at all. It could be me though.
I've been using Optifree for years until just recently. Now you can get Optifree No Rub and I loved how easy it was. However, I had a reaction to some of the preservatives in it and I kept getting protien build up on my lenses. Now I use Clear Care which cleans them a lot better and my eyes don't get dry throughout the day.

Ditto. With Clear Care, I can wear my lenses longer and don't feel like I need to scratch my eyes out by 5pm.
i'm going to try out clear care. thanks for the recs!
ps: imo contact solution can make a difference in how dry your eyes get. the weather doesn't fluctuate much where i live, and life with AMO >>>>> life with target brand solution, unfortunately. if yours are getting dry, i'd definitely test some different solutions!
