I don't think there's any one line that works better than others. I think certain brands have stand out products.

For me, I really like Peter, Thomas, Roth, Shiseido, and Cetaphil.

I like:
Philosophy for their When Hope is Not Enough SPF 20 moisturiser and Purity Made Simple face wash.

Shiseido for their eye cream w SPF.

Garnier for their Nutritioniste Nutri-Pure Detoxifying Gel Cleanser

Also, Pangea Organics is the totally awesome!!

I agree with Blubirde.  There is no ONE line that works wonders for everyone. Sure, some might have more success with more people than others, but you might not get the same results.

If you're looking at eye/wrinkle/etc. creams I read in an old Allure article that Sheisido was one of the best companies.

I'm also interested in the Fusion products. Whenever I see ads the before/after pictures are always so great (but again, probably not the same for everyone)

I really like Peter Thomas Roth and DDF.  I like to mix it up a little though!

I like many products in the Origins line, but I know it's not perfect.

I stick to drugstore brands Olay and Neutrogena, I hear Dove is pretty good, although I havent bought stuff from them recently, I'm not sure if they still sell face creams and such.

I agree - I liked to mix products from different brands. However, I will say that I've been impressed with everything I've tried from Bliss

I love
  • Bliss face washes (specifically the Fabulous Foaming one)
  • Amore Pacific moisturizer and eye cream (the vitalizing ones)
  • Bliss again, for their Sleeping Peel and facial scrub
  • Origins for acne stuff (the Spot Remover is amazing)

I'm still on the lookout for a decent priced moisturizer though. (The Amore Pacific stuff is pricey).

I'm really picky when it comes to skincare.  Like some of the others said there are great lines out there, and certain products are better than others.

Precleansing: Laura Mercier's Purifying Oil - Light, it's great for getting off hard eye makeup without tugging at the eye.  Also Urban Decay's Clean and Sober is just a nice prefacial cleanser to get off any dirt and grim, before a good cleanse.

For cleansers I really like the Dior Rinse Off Foam one I'm currently using, but I still like Chanel's Radiance Cleansing Foam.

Exfoliating: Definitely Bobbi Brown's Buffing Grains.  You can add this to water or your cleanser and the stuff in it works miracles to get dead skin off.  I've also tried a sample of Philosophy's Microdelivery Peel and could see myself using that from time to time for a more complex exfoliation experience.

Toners: Hands down Laura Mercier's Perfecting Water - Light

Repair:  I am in love with Chanel's Age Delay Serum

Eye Moisturizer: AM - Bobbi Brown's Hydrating Eye Cream
                        PM - Bobbi's Eye Balm

Facial Moisturizer: Bobbi Brown's Extra SPF 25 Moisturizing Balm  (when this runs out since it's too much for me at $85 a jar, I'm going to try one of the smoothing moisturizers from AHAVA)

Just remember what works for me may not work for you, but just get out there and experiment with different products to see what's best suited for your skintype.  Lots of counters are more than willing to sample their products in the hopes you will actually like it enough to come back and purchase it.

I have tzone oil (an occasional breakout during that time of the month), but really dry cheeks, chin, forehead.  I had to figure out a system that worked best with the type of skin I have no matter what brand.

To answer your question though, I have really enjoyed certain products from Laura Mercier, Chanel, Dior, and Bobbi Brown the most.

HTH!
