Vegas in February-What to pack?
Permalink Closed

My husband and I are going to Vegas in February for a long weekend.  What should I pack?  I have never been to Vegas during the winter and I am stumped.  I am not sure what to expect when it comes to weather at this time of the year.  Also-can anyone recommend cute but comfortable wedges?  I need and want some height but also will be walking a lot so I need something somewhat comfortable.

I had gone to Vegas a couple years ago in March and it was pretty warm...upper 70's/low 80's...I was able to spend some time at the pool.  It did get chillier at night so I needed a light sweater.  I would, however, keep an eye on the weather forecast...the weather has been so bizarre everywhere this year so who knows what the weather will be like.

As for dressing...I was pretty casual during the day and dressed up a LITTLE more at night (simple dress or skirt/top outfit).  We went to a couple of shows and most nights went out to nice restaurants.

It can be very cold at night - 40s or 50s but then hot during the day (depending on the forecast 60s to 80s.  So pack in layers.  Brings jeans for the day and comfortable shoes for walking and walking and walking.  Many tourists don't dress up that much but lots do too - so wear whatever for night - think date night (very dressy or date night tops and jeans, either you prefer)

We were there in late December, and it was unusually cold.  30s at night, 40s in the daytime with a nice, stiff breeze to make you want to cry.  We took many taxi rides.  I bet you're looking at the 50s-60s.  Take a look online for historically average temperatures for Vegas during February to get an idea.  Layers!
