Skinny Pants...

So I bought my first pair of black, skinny pants from Old Navy and I'm stumped about what shoes to wear with them...  I have black Doc Martin clodhoppers, but I'm almost 30 and want to look a little more polished than "alterna-chick."  What would you recommend???

well, there's always the option of tucking them into boots...

I really like the look of flats with skinny pants -- dolce vita has a great sale on flats right now

Definitely flats or heels.  A chunky shoe would mess up the whole slimming look.  I wear all sorts of cute tops with them for different looks (snug fitting tees, girly blouses, and occasionally a babydoll style)

Flowy shirts look great with skinnies, as do long fitted shirts that cover the booty.

Shoes: tall boots over them, high heel ankle booties with the pants scrunched, ballet flats, or some nice high rounded toe heels!!! No cloggy shoes...

Ok - just got back from the shoe store and picked out some cute (dainty) Mary Jane like heels. I needed more than just flats - I'm short and the pants are a teeny bit too long for flats. I'm planning to wear them with a flowy tunic that covers my derriere.  smile  Hope it works out ok.  I swear - I need to be on "What Not to Wear" when it comes to fashion - but that's why I'm here!  Thank you for your help!

Colorful ballet flats! Something similar to the Tory Burch ones because they really stand out againt the black denim and ballet flats look great with skinnies. I'm loving either torquoise, yellow, or animal print ones
