My family is doing a gift exchange this year. I am supposed to gift my oldest brother and his family. They are in their forties with three teenage kids. I am at a loss at what to get for them. I need to find something soon because they live across the country and i'll need to mail it asap. I was thinking something like a chocolate fondue pot w/chocolate but my DH wasn't keen on that idea. Something that promotes family-together-ness. (I'd like to stay away from g.c.) Any ideas? TIA!
What about a "Scene It" game? I think it plays thru the TV/dvd player and is kind of like Trivial Pursuit. I see commercials for it quite a bit and it looks pretty fun for older kids and grown ups.
I was just going to recommend Apples to Apples and then I saw the post below! Another idea would be something like great food shipped to them that they don't get locally (e.g. there are some yummy restaurants in Kansas City that ship bbq nationally). If they don't have it already, you could do a Netflix subscription with enough DVD's per month that everyone could get movies they'd enjoy.
I think a game of some sort is a great idea. If they are really into Holidays there is a great game our family has called The Christmas Game. Our grown (18 & 21) daughters still play with us - it's a tradition.
Throw in some candy & you have a great family entertainment night.
