Personally I find it offensive to stereotype like that and say that any gender (or ethnicity, etc) "sucks". So no...I didn't find it funny. Would you think it's funny if some guy posted the same thing about women?

Absolutely not. I think atlgirl made a very valid point - I didn't find this particularly amusing either. It's juvenile and pointless and it sure doesn't seem to be helping anyone. All it does is offend men. Making lists like this only breeds close-mindedness and misunderstanding. Everybody does some stupid and thoughtless things sometimes. The good thing is, most people can forgive and forget. But the few people who can't start attributing the characteristics of one thoughtless person to every person who shares that gender, race, ethnicity, religion, etc. I can laugh at these things sometimes if they are truly humorous and tongue-in-cheek. But whoever made this list doesn't seem to be laughing. Just yelling at half the people in this world for things a few guys did to her.

BTW I'm really not trying to pick on you, collegegirl5858. I just had to respond to lover121.

Yeah, I think this falls under the "do unto others" catagory.

I am sure you didnt mean this to be offensive, I think you were just trying to be funny.

Thankfully , my DH doesnt have any of these qualities.

Apologies, I am getting over a really painful breakup (not an excuse) but I have a history of negative men in my life and I found this to be a skapegoat of sorts. I realize it is stereotypical and not accurate of all men. atlgirl, the difference between women doing this to men and men doing this to women is that throughout history women have been inferior to men. Its like a black person making fun of a white person vs. a white person making fun of a black person. Sorry for the sociological ramble, I am sorry for offending you.

Awww, lover121, how flattering that you are "new" here (or maybe just a new name of a regular poster?) and you chose to direct this snarky post to me.

collegegirl, thanks for editing your original post. Whether or not "women have historically been inferior to men" still doesn't make it appropriate to gender stereotype like that. I appreciate your PM and wish you the best as you move past the breakup. I know those are never easy.
