Did anyone watch last night?

I thought Gavin was totally cute, nice, normal, and funny! I can't believe Lauren didn't click with him. Ugh, he was 100 times better than Brody. Why do all those girls go for the lamest guys? Hello? Justin Bobby!!

I thought Gavin was cute too.  He's just not "bad" enough for Lauren.  Does Spencer work or is he just a bum who is bitter that Heidi works all the time and has no time for him?

Yeah, what exactly does Spencer do all day? It seems like he just lounges around the apartment waiting for Heidi to come home from work.
Lauren has feelings for Brody and she is just in denial.  It was totally obvious from the way she smiled when he told her he'd come over and watch a movie with her.

I guess he doesn't work from the way she told him that maybe he should try working too! Ugh I CAN NOT stand him! But I kind of get the feeling that Heidi is getting tired of him too...
Did ya'll read on Perezhilton how when she's on the date with Gavin her nails are painted and when she gets home and calls Brody they aren't? Here are the pictures:

The nailpolish thing doesn't surprise me - shows like this are pretty notorious for piecing things together to make them look like they are happening in sequence when really they aren't.  Lauren probably went out w/that model on a totally different night than when she called Brody to come over - they just piece it together for the drama.  If you pay attention, you'll also notice that in the same episodes, Spencer has a full beard in some scenes and no facial hair at all in others.

Lone voice of dissent here, but I did not think Gavin was cute. Lauren obviously has a thing for Brody, but she's too in denial.

This show seems to have gotten boring lately. I don't get as excited to watch it on Mondays as I used too.

Spencer - ugh! He obviously does not understand the concept of "working." I hope Heidi ditches him - he's such a loser!

Ok, I stopped watching after the first couple of episodes this season, but just came across this story today on People.com.   Its very interesting...  Oh, and it looks like her ex, Jason is going to jail.  Look at the bottom of the page for the link.

LCs Date: The Hills Is Scripted

Just how real is The Hills? According to model Gavin Beasleyyou may remember him as Lauren Conrads date (and also the guy who made Brody Jenner jealous) the MTV show isnt as real as the network or its stars would like you to believe.

Take the scene at Jenners barbecue on this Mondays episode of The Hills. [MTV] totally set up the BBQ scene for Brody and I to meet each other and talk because, as they said, the audience would get a kick out of seeing the ex talking to the new guy, Beasley tells Best Week Evers blog in an exclusive interview.

Brody would talk all this s, then be like, Sorry about that, were just trying to make good television, says Beasley. He creates drama and a storyline. Thats why he is there.

As for his date with Conradwell, that didnt impress Beasley either. And this time, it wasnt producers fault. [Conrads] kind of a conversation killer, and when the cameras are rolling, all conversation is kept firmly on the surface, he says. So what did the two talk about? I dont knowpop culture, Red Bull, stuff like that. In fact, the most interesting thing I got out of her was that she isnt allowed to eat ice cream because her trainer told her she cant.

What you see is really what you get with these people, Beasley continues. The lack of depth was actually uncomfortable for me. Like, how can nothing be everything you talk about? Brian Orloff
