hey all--i haven't been around at all lately and i'm so sorry. i feel really bad asking for help when i haven't been keeping up with you guys so please forgive me. i do plan to get more involved again soon. anyway, i was hoping someone could help me with this seemingly simple problem: i have hotmail and for the past few months or so, they have been plugging their new windows live version and trying to encourage ppl to switch to that format (vs. msn hotmail i think or whatever the old version was). once before it switched me automatically but i was able to switch back by clicking on something that says "switch back to old format" or something. now, it did it again and there is no option to switch back that i can see. my husband can't figure it out either and he thinks the change is permanent. Do any of you hotmail users know anything about this? i hate it!! how can i get the old version back? thanks so much for any help you can offer! cheers-- alb __________________

The same thing happened to me! I was able to switch it back the first time, but this time I think it's permanent. I hate it. I loved how simple the older version was. I've had this email for 10 years, so i feel kind of attached to it...othewise i'd switch in a heartbeat. __________________ It's pronounced "Johnny," like the boys name....but spelled like an Indian Zuchini.

ha ha! i know i totally agree. i miss the simplicity and familiarity of the other one. glad to know i'm not the only one. weirdly, my husband's acct is still the old version. hmm. anyone else know about this? __________________

I switched it too and thought it was cool because it resembled Outlook which is what we use at work, but now I hate it. It takes forever to load not to mention how much longer it takes if I have the email preview function on. Plus the email preview is worthless because it shrinks your view of the list of emails as the ad space on the top is way too big! I just checked and on the bottom left there's a button that says "Switch to classic" and it'll let you switch back. __________________ http://shoppingandselling.blogspot.com/
