Decent looking medical alert jewelry?
Permalink Closed

So my neurologist always freaks on me when I come into his office and dont have my MA jewelry on, and I never found it to be a big deal...until yesterday.  I had an "incident" where I didn't have any identification on me and I had a seizure and they were unable to identify me.  Now I am faced with the fact that I should probably just get one of those hideous things.  Have you guys seen a decent looking one? All of the ones I see are ugly.  I would appreciate help! TIA.

My sister is diabetic and she has a necklace and bracelet from James Avery. I didn't see any on there website, but they may have them in the store.

I hope you are doing ok, that had to have been really scary.

I'm sorry to hear you had to go through that.

these are kind of cute - they look like tiffany heart charm bracelets:

I'm so sorry that happened to you. How scary!

I should have a medical ID, but instead I just bought a regular sterling silver charm and had the back engraved to say "Chris Last Name, hypoglycemia, husband's phone #"

This is the charm I have, but the company, Far Fetched, has tons of inspirational quote charms that would fit your info on the back.

And, then I have one of the sporty IDs for when I exercise. It totally gives me comfort to have the info on me. I used to get faint and then I'd make it worse because the fear of passing out and having no one know what to do would make me panic. Low blood suger combo w/ panic attack is not good.

I found these two sites that make 'fashionable' med ID jewelry:

www.laurenshope.com
