I found this about 2 weeks ago and I love it- www.idealbite.com. It reminds me a lot of daily candy, but they're daily tips on simpel things you can do to be more environmentally conscious. They're all really easy and the writers are pretty funny. Just thought I'd pass it along.
I wanted to share a cool tip from Ideal Bite that I used today from their post on "ideal green gifts." NativeEnergy is a company that finances new clean-energy projects on Native American reservations, with money from individuals and businesses looking to offset the carbon emissions they produce. There are a number of good places to offset carbon emissions, but what I especially liked about NativeEnergy was that you can offset an entire ton of carbon dioxide for $12 as a gift -- and if you do that you can have them send a cute little personalized card (e.g. with a cow on the front to represent NativeEnergy's methane project) to the person you're giving the gift to. I wanted to send a couple of people thank-you cards tonight and this seemed like the perfect way to make the cards special.
