I'm not getting one. I like Mac stuff; and my husband is a Mac-dude (can't think of anything else to call it). He's a designer. Neither of us are interested in the iPhone though. i think there might be a little Mac-Fatigue going on - - based on what I have seen on the internet, TV, and from people in general. Everone has their opinion, of course.
There is already a line (somewhere) in Charlotte. I overheard a woman saying at lunch today.
Not me. While I love the idea of phone and music together, I don't like iPods. There are much better mp3 players on the market; Apple has just done a better job of marketing the iPod. I want to wait and see what some of the competitors do to respond. Also, if I do decide to give into iPhone, I'd rather wait for a later generation.
And, at the end of the day, my current phone and mp3 player are working fine for me.
Nope. I would never buy something this technologically advanced in a first generation. I also think it is an insane amount of money to pay for something. You can have two devices that do all the same things for A LOT cheaper. I think there are much better things to spend money on. Now, with that said, I would like to see one because they are pretty cool, but I think people only want them because of Apple's marketing techniques.

My BF works at AT&T and I got to read a manual on the iPhone, before they had it in store. It does sooo much more than just a phone and iPod together! They all thought that it wouldnt be that great of a phone, but its awesome!
I havent talked to him today, but Im sure they have a line going. In NY, they had people waiting outside of stores yesterday!
I hope he'll let me come into to the store later so I can play with it.
I really want one. It's definitely way more than a phone and music player. It's pretty much everything rolled into one, which is why I want it. And I have AT&T, so if I want it, I'll be able to get it without breaking a contract.
I don't think so. I see a day in the future when it would be absolutey insane to have multiple devices, but until that day I'm happy with what I've got. Also, I wouldn't buy anything like this first generation out. I could see myself doing it in a couple years though, when the prices have become reasonable and the product is a bit better. But I'm not super into tech stuff so I never mind waiting. I didn't even get a DVD player until 2 years ago!

Yeah, same here, I'm pretty happy w/Sprint, BUT! If they do come out w/something similiar, I 'might' consider it. I don't even use all of my cell's features either, so.... LOL

I have geeky gadget lust for an iphone, but I'm not going to buy one. I don't use all the features my current cell phone has, so I can't justify speding $500 or $600 on one with even more features. I'll wait until the second generation comes out and then give it some serious thought.
But, I was at a party over the weekend and one guy had an iphone. I got to play with it and it was really cool.
Not me. I never buy new technology. Even just waiting a year usually means the products are better and cheaper. I think it's pretty pointless to buy a first generation anything.
