I have a lot of hair but it is very fine. After I blow dry i have lots of little baby hairs or new growth that looks like I stuck my finger in a socket. I use a vouumizing product, cause I need it, but I would like some kind of smoothing serum to keep the fly aways at bay. Any recommendations on something not heavy/sticky to work miracles for me.
this will sound bizarre, but when my hair has a lot of static I smooth it over with a dryer sheet. It works better than anything I've tried because it doesn't weigh the hair down at all

Ditto. I love this method. Not sure how it would on your everyday fly aways that are caused by blow drying though. It works great for static.

Clear mascara. The cheap stuff. I don't know if it's the formula, or the brush that helps, but it works. I always have a tube of clear wet n wild in my hairstyling draw of goodies.
I use either of these religiously. I just recently started using the red bottle because its supposedly for protecting your hair from drying and straightening.
Anyway, I apply a dime size before I style and then a little bit more after to smooth down all the little flyaway hairs.
I love Charles Worthington Shine Shine Shine gloss and refresh spray for this. It's super light weight ( I have baby fine hair as well) and it smells great. You can buy it at any drugstore. It also heps get bar smell out of your hair after a night out.
