Do any of you have these Frye Villager boots?  I'm thinking of getting them for next fall and winter.  I've never bought Frye boots before, do they run tts? Are they comfy? Also, how old is this style, do you think it will go on sale for less than $190?  TIA!

the antique gold color is on sale for $111 at nordies. i'd look around. i usually see them for 150ish.

That style has been around for several years and they do typically go on sale from time to time.  I got mine at the Nordstrom anniversary sale last year for $120 or $140.

IMO, they aren't all that comfortable.  The footbed is fine, but the leather is so sturdy that the ankles don't flex as much as I'd like and it isn't softening up very quickly.

Fryes run about a 1/2 size big, IMO.  I usually either size down or buy my size and add a gel insole.

I tried those on last year (I think during the Nordies Anniversary sale) and didn't find them especially comfortable. They ran TTS for me.
