I was reading an article about the Dead Sea and the salts and mud that are gathered from it for beauty treatments in Jane Magazine. The mud looks so cool! They actually have the article online (though missing the really cool picture of the mud).

In the article, the writer mentions Ahava products. Has anyone tried? Reports? Reviews? I've seen it around, but it never struck my fancy.

It seems to me that one must lose a good portion of the benefits of these raw materials once they are processed - -especially products that can be purchased the Ultra-Pasteurized United States. Of course, not everyone can jet off to Jerusalem...

It's funny you mentioned AHAVA because I'm running low.

I was introduced to it several years ago when i was out West.  I was in San Francisco airport and i went into the Sephora and asked for something to calm my skin (facial) because it was not used to the dry air and i thought i was going to go nuts.

She took me straight to AHAVA and that's the rest of the story.

I have a ton of AHAVA products. I didn't buy them - I won them in something or other. All I can say is eh. They don't impress me and they don't not impress me. I certainly wouldn't spend more than drugstore $$ on them though. They're definitely not that special. I have no special affinity for dead sea salts either. So I probably won't ever buy it again.

i wash my hands over 50 times a day for my job and i have the worst dry skin/psoriasis and this stuff is the only thing that helps my hands and isn't greasy.  i used to swear by aquaphor (it works, but it's really greasy), but now i have ahava lotion all over the place.  i have converted so many people.

i've only used their hand lotion, but i love it.

I recieved a hand cream as a gift - this is quality stuff, I would give it a try. I am not so crazy about the fragrance but it is worth a shot. I believe they sell it in Sephora, I have seen some gift sets as well.
