I have been contemplating getting this dress(although i would have to have it shortened a little if i did, which is holding me back) but i can't even think of what shoes i would wear it with

That's a beautiful dress! I think you have lots of shoe options. Red, green, blue, brown. Yellow and gray is a really popular combination right now. 

Not sure what style you want but here are some color ideas

LOVE the dress! So summery! I would wear some gold bangles, and gold hoops, and a tan :). You could dress it up with peeptoe wedges, or down with some flat grecian style sandals....cute!

I would wear it with a pair of espadrillas...
