Anyone know the Charlotte area for shopping?
Permalink Closed

I am going to the fabulous SouthPark mall on Saturday, but wanted to see if anyone had any other tips for where I should go - specifically looking for discounted shoes and clothes (since I probably will have just dropped tons at all the great shops at the mall - they have everything there!).  I have been to the DSW nearby and was not that impressed, and looked online and saw that there is not a Loehmanns in the area.  Any other great shops I need to visit (does not have to be discounted, either - I can look for great sale items).  Thanks!

Can't believe I have to drive TWO HOURS for decent shopping!

Here are some suggestions for places to go

Phillips Place (near SouthPark) http://www.phillipsplace.info/

There are 2 boutiques (Luca Lu and Chez Elle) at the following address; both are very nice.  There is a FABULOUS restaurant (Nolen Kitchen) in the same shopping complex.  Quite close to SouthPark 2823 Selwyn Ave
Charlotte, NC 28209

Some more boutiques and a consignment shop in Myers Park on Providence Road-813 Providence Road (Fresh Boutique and others in that area)

Off Broadway Shoes and SRI Shoes on South Boulevard are two shoe discounters similar to DSW.

There are other boutiques and consignment shops scattered here and there in neighborhoods such as Plaza Midwood, Southend, & Dilworth (
Paper Skyscraper is a great giftshop).

The Ballantyne area has a bit of shopping too.

Thanks!  Phillps Place looks out of my price range (someday, someday) but I checked out the restaurant menu online and that looks like a good place for a late lunch after the mall, and then I can check out the boutiques in that area.  I'll try to find the Off Broadway shoes too.  Do they have a lot of brand name shoes?

Thanks again!

I haven't been to SRI in a while. Off Broadway doesn't really have too many like they used to. They have this one brand (kind of like how most of Victoria's Secret's shoes are by Colin Stuart) that is a guy's name; and they have a ton. You know, the usual BCBG Girls, Ann Klein, Franco Sarto, Puma, the occasional Cole Haan, etc.

Both on South Blvd. Honestly, I would not make a special trip for these two.
