Tomorrow I am going to a memorial service for a family member and then meeting friends for dinner, but I have no idea what to wear.  The service will be very casual, most people will wear jeans, but I feel that is not an option for me.  How do I make an outfit that will work for both?  I was thinking maybe dark grey slacks with a black v-neck sweater and then add some jewelry to dress it up for dinner. TIA!

How about wearing a cute top with a jacket and either grey or dark pants.  Then you can take the jacket off during dinner.
