Okay, 2 Gap dresses I tried on; IRL pics

Tried on 2 dresses at Gap, again as potential substitutes for the beloved BR dress. One is the yellow one from my other post. So, here goes:

Sorry for the not-so-great phone pics; This dress is a super pale yellow IRL. I do think this is super cute and very comfy, but it's up for debate on whether I still like the BR dress more.

Also tried this one on for fun, since it's white and the shape I like. I wasn't real comfy with such a teensy strap that you have to tie, so this one is a definite pass:

I just came from the other post. Since it sounds like the BR dress is out of your budget right now, I think you should go w/ the yellow. I like the BR dress, but I think the yellow GAP looks just as nice on you.

Yeah, I mean the Gap dress is pretty much the same thing as the BR dress, just in a different color. I'm now starting to think I'll get the Gap dress and just keep my eye out for another cute white dress, one that's affordable and in another cool style.

I say branch out.

I used to think orange and yellow were hideous colors so I never wore or owned anything in either color. However, over the years, I was forced to buy silhouettes/items I loved in colors I didn't exactly bowl over at first sight. I later fell in love with the colors as well. I'm having a turnaround with navy too right now because I found out how to make it work with my wardrobe.

I think that since you always have a bit of tan going on, you'll look great in the yellow. Try and think of it like a punchier ivory. I wear that pale yellow with blues, olive greens, browns, grays, pinks...it's much more versatile then you think.

i think you should get the gap dress since the BR one doesn't look much different for the extra $90

Get the yellow one and keep your eye out for a white one - there will probably be more out in the stores as the spring/summer progresses.

I would get yellow one, too. I love white but actually lately I started buying more yellow. It makes you stands up in a crowd, very girly but not too much, and gives a happy healthy impression(depending on the hues).

You could always buy BR one once it's on sale and you happen to be at the store :)
