Sushi at home?
Permalink Closed

My husband and I LOVE sushi, but now that he's gone for so long, it's a pain to take the girls out for sushi by myself, so I'm looking to make some rolls at home with them.  I've always made California rolls and smoked salmon rolls at home, so I know how to prepare rice, roll, etc., but I'm craving some raw fish and making anything with raw fish at home has always scared me because I'm not sure what/where to buy it?  Not the grocery store, right?  I know I should get "sushi grade" tuna, salmon, etc., but where do I look for that?  What do you do at home?

I go to an asian market for sushi-grade fish - they have a huuuuuuuuge selection.  If there's a larger one in your area, it would likely be your best bet.

I second what Elle mentioned. If that doesn't pan out, try Whole Foods, it seems like something they may carry.
