So, I obsessed over this Milly dress, tracked it down and got it shipped to me.  But, as much as I like it, I am not sure that I should keep it.  It would be for work in the summer - as well as parties and weddings.  I need a dressier cotton dress that can do both things...and this is so pretty - but I need guidance and my shopping bud/honest review friend is in NYC this weekend!

The problem I'm having is with the ruffle - it is cute on the body of the dress, but I think it is giving me a "pin head" around my face.

Thanks!  I am obsessed with yellow this spring - I saw this in Domino and just hunted it down...I haven't been obsessed about a piece of clothing in a while!

I'm not loving the length and the ruffle does seem a little awkward around the face. I say return. The color looks great on you though.

Hmm, this is a tough one.  I loved it when you posted the dress in weekend shopping but something about it seems off to me.  Although the color is beautiful.

It is a gorgeous color and the color looks great on you. However, it looks just a little big to me around the armholes--it could just be the angle the pic is taken.

I think the ruffle needs to be a bit more pronounced and "ruffly" around the face...sort of like what Erin Fetherston has done in the past.

Also, I think the dress is too short....it really needs to be almost knee length for it to work.

I'm sorry. I wish it would work out...it's so adorable. cry

Thanks ladies! You are totally right. As cute as it is, the ruffle and the length make it awkward, and I wouldn't wear it enough to be worth it  So, back it goes.  The good news was that it was pretty expensive, and it would have been a waste of money!

Now, I am going to spend the money I save on other yellow thingsbiggrin
