I haven't watched this show much since the first season but it's sucking me in this year, for some odd reason. Shall we discuss last night's show?

First, I'd like to formally lodge a complaint with the stylists. I've always thought they made Paula look crazier than a normal person, but usually they do pretty well with the contestants. The guys looked fine (loved Blake's plaid pants) but the girls all looked bad, bad, bad. Most of the clothes were ill-fitting and the cuts were not flattering at. all. Most of those girls have normal to thin bodies and those stylists made them look huge! I was very disappointed that people paid to dress others picked out those outfits.

Haley - I thought she was alright. I liked her shorts but she probably should learn to keep her knees more together when wearing such a short bottom. Not bad, nothing spectacular.

Chris R. - He's so cute! I haven't been paying much attention to him in the other eps so I'm not sure if that song was an improvement or not. He's a bit nasally though.

Chris S. - Ugh. He annoys the crap out of me. I used to like him the best but after that "fro patro" thing, he's out. Plus I have a sneaking suspicion he's cocky as hell. And why? Whatever. He bugs.

Stephanie - I also haven't been paying much attention to her, so I'm again not sure if last night was good or bad (or what "edge" they were referring to in her judging comments), but her outfit blew and she was boring, imo.

Lakisha - I love her, but I didn't care for that song. I didn't like the lower register, even though I got what she was trying to do. It just didn't sound pleasing to my ears. But I did like her dress so Simon can piss off on that one.

Blake - I was in the kitchen while he was singing so all I heard was his voice. And seriously, y'all, if you're not looking at him, he sounds terrible. I couldn't believe what a difference watching vs. listening made. He's still cute though. His little #4 dance behind Seacrest's head at the end annoyed me. Stop that.

Jordin - My new favorite! I love her. She rocked that song, hard core.

Gina - Eh. I thought it was alright. Nothing spectacular, one way or the other.

Phil - He creeps me out when he dances. He'll eventually be out so I guess there's not much to say about him.

Melinda - girl can sing, for sure. But she looks funny. And I mean that in the nicest possible way. It's not a slam, just that I'm not sure she looks young and hip enough to have a hit record, assuming she'd go the pop route.

Sanjaya - hahahahahaha!!! His song was hilarious. I was rolling when they kept showing that girl crying. I've seriously never laughed that hard at anything on AI. Too funny. That girl should come back for every episode.

OMG Sanjaya was so painful to watch last night. I thought it was just awful that they put him (or was it powder who is also painful to watch but not as much) right after Jordin went. The crying girl was just hysterical though. Of all the ones to cry over Sanjaya is not the one!

I am rooting for Jordin. I think she is an excellent singer and since she is so young they can mold her into a pop star.

Melinda is a good singer but I have to admit I was making the same comments to bf last night about her as you are. She is great but something about her look is off.

Haley had a cute outfit on but homegirl needed to wear some flowers (or whatever you call them) to hold her boobs from moving everywhere! I think that was more of an outfit to wear clubing (sp?)

Sanjaya SUCKS! did you guys hear that people are voting for him on purpose cause they know he sucks and people want to mess with the show? Apparently Howard Stern is asking everyone to keep voting for him as a joke.....

I love Jordin, Blake, and Doolittle

my husband also thinks Doolittle looks wierd.....but she can sing and she seems so sweet!

I really think its such a big joke that Sanjaya is still on the show. He is so bad that I found myself laughing at him and that crying girl. I swear it's mostly tween girls voting for him.

I couldn't believe the outfit Haley was wearing. Totally inappropriate.

Jordin is starting to be my favorite. She can really sing!

I'm getting a little tired of the sound effects Blake has to put in every single song.

What is up with Seacrest and the judges? I think their snide remarks to eachother are getting out of control. It's like they're trying to get the show to be about them instead of the contestants. Each week it only gets worse.

If Sanjaya doesn't get voted off tonight, I'm not sure I'll be able to watch the show anymore. He is AWFUL. And unfortunately with that stunt that Howard Stern and company are pulling to get people to vote for him, I'm afraid he might stick around :

I missed his performance but I saw the clip at the end when they do the phone in using this number for this person and they showed this clip of him singing that and it just creeped me out!

He did really good last night, imo.  I think he seems like the most professional performer.  And he's a total cutie.

The longer Sanjaya stays in there the more I keep swearing I am no longer going to watch, but I still do. American Idol needs to adopt the same policies as some of the other shows, like Dancing with the Stars, where each phone number can only vote a certain amount of times. Maybe that way someone who is awful won't win just because people are trying to be funny!!

I am biased because I have seen her perform IRL and I know people who are friends with her, but I love Jordin. From everything I hear, she's a totally sweet person in real life. But even so, I thought her performance last night was fantastic -- it gave me goosebumps.

I also really like Blake and Lakisha. I get that Melinda is wonderful and everything, but she really doesn't look like a pop star to me.

It's the judges fault for even letting Sanjaya get to top 24!  They must be regretting that decision by now.  There were tons better singers who didn't get top 24 or even go to Hollywood!

The emotionally unstable girl was ridiculous.  She acted like she saw Jesus!

Melinda is funny looking.  I noticed she has no neck.  Sometimes I wonder if her doe eyed "really, you like me, thank you!" sweetness is fake.  Come on, she's what 27, you know she's got attitude!

Does Sanjaya remind anyone else of Michael Jackson? Seriously, he frightens me and he's sooooo bad. I really haven't been following the show, but I've managed to catch the Sanjaya debacle a few times and it is scary.
