jeans with this jacket (brighter green IRL) over either the swiss dot top shown under this lace jacket (old pic btw) or over a black jersey w/ satin trim tunic top (don't have pic)
OR
IRISH fisherman sweater (this isn't the one i have, but similar) over a solid chocolate brown pleated skirt similar in style to the one shown: with my green miss sixty boots...

I actually don't like it so much when it looks like people were trying too hard to wear green on St. Patty's Day (course, I don't like it when people do that on any holiday...too close to the Reindeer Sweater IMO). While I love both outfits and would probably lean more towards 1 if it wasn't a holiday I'm gonna have to vote for the boots. Besides, the fisherman's sweater reminds me of some craggy Irish guy drinking in a dark bar.
ETA: Everybody will be wearing green on top...why not stand out and wear the green on the bottom!

well, i was going for the craggy irish guy look
I'm leaning toward the skirt and fisherman sweater too. The first one is so.... safe, you know? besides the skirt is a little sexy on - i'll have to take a pic of myself so you can see... think i'll do the skirt and sweater in combination with some nude fishnets and an ivory lace cami peeking out under the sweater - curl the hair, and i'll be good to go
oh, and my irish soda bread is coming along swimmingly - can't wait to have some corned beef and cabbage!

I love #2 because I think everyone else will probably be wearing something green on top. The green boots are beautiful and a unique way to incorporate green for St Patrick's Day.
