I saw the movie 300 last night, and I thought it was awesome. Visually beautiful. Also, lots of great manly physiques, which is always a plus. Did anyone else see it this weekend? I was ready to join the Spartan army about half way through the movie.

I loved it!  I saw it on Saturday night with a bunch of friends.  It looked fantastic, I really liked how it seemed like it was right out of the graphic novel.  The six-packs were nice, too.     For those of you who've seen 300 and also watch Lost, I couldn't believe that the guy playing King Xerxes in 300 is "Paulo," the random new Lostie.  It's amazing what makeup can do!

I thought the movie was okay at best.  Yeah they all looked like they did sit-ups before every scene.

I saw it last night. During the movie, I kept thinking, "I've seen this before..." when it was called Braveheart. And Troy. And Alexander. And The 13th Warrior...

It was pretty cool visually, though. My husband said they did zero filming outside (all green screen), which makes it even cooler.  I was really skeptical about the historical accuracy of some of the stuff (like the physiques, the training, etc), so I looked up Spartan history when I got home (because I am nerdy like that), and it turns out a lot of it was really accurate.  Although I do wonder who did the chest waxing in ancient Sparta...
