Monokini's -Trashy or Sexy?

I like the look - especially in a sleek black color. I have never thought of them as trashy, maybe you think that bc they're always in hip hop videos or something? I think it can be chic and sexy but maybe hard to pull off on your average beach. Where do you plan on wearing it?

i dont think they're trashy, i think they're sexy. but i'm more of a fan of the ones that only have the sides cut out, as opposed to the middle too. i really want a one piece this year!

Funny you mention this, the only reason I am considering this is to wear on my vacation to Mykonos this May. Anything goes there, right? LOL! Otherwise, I don't think I would consider this as my go-to bikini this season.

i don't think it's trashy. I like it. But I wouldn't want tan lines in the middle of my stomach like that.....

I don't know that I think it's particularly trashy, but that one seems weird to me because it goes down to below the belly button... as if you are putting your belly button on display? I can't explain it. I agree that I like the ones with the cutouts on the side a lot better

I agree with tara. I thought the exposed belly button looked a little off. I don't think its trashy though just a bit out there.

Oh I think you could totally pull it off there. Thats what I was thinking, it would be awkward in your average beach but at a vacation site it'd be cute. But do consider your tan lines!

I may be the only person that will admit this, but I think that they look totally trashy. IMO they only look good on women with perfect bodies and in catalogues. The pics that people posted make them look very sexy, but are you seriously going to be wearing it with full makeup, jewelry and perfect beach hair? I am thinking that you won't be. I wouldn't waste my money. If I saw a woman on ANY beach wearing that I wouldn't be thinking kind thoughts. JMO.

i have one like the one you posted. i really liked it, and it looks good on me, but i just never infd the right time to wear it. it's almost like a dressy swimsuit to me. i think it's perfect with a longer wrapped skirt/coverup with higher heeled espadrilles or something.
