too out there for the office?

I recently bought these:

I totally love them, and I've been wearing them out on the weekends a lot with tights.  I was envisioning them for work with a conservative skirt and top, just to liven the outfit up a bit, but the coworker I bought them with was like, "I don't think it's a good idea to wear those with a skirt.  I'd only wear them with pants to the office."

I hadn't even second-guessed them before, but her comment is making me reconsider!  Would you wear these to the office with a basic outfit (like a black skirt and button-down)?  Or should I err on the side of caution and just wear them on weekends?

I don't like the way they look with pants, btw.

Those are pretty!  I'd have no problem wearing them to work with a skirt.  As long as you're allowed to wear open toed shoes and the rest of the outfit is pretty conservative i think you'll be fine.

I think they're totally fine for the office as long as the office is business casual.

I think they would be fine in a business casual office with a basic outfit.

I think they would look great with tights and skirt to the office. Maybe keep the top half on your outfit a bit more conservative though.

I would definitely wear them to the office.  FWIW, I work in a law firm where business casual is a bit more formal than other business casual settings.  I think they are adorable and would look so cute with tights!

Thank you, ladies! I appreciate the quick feedback. I think her comments just made me paranoid. I'm going to wear them tomorrow :)

It just depends on where you work.  They would be fine where I work, but my job does not require conservative business clothing.  By the way, they are really cute!!!

I think theyre fine as long as the rest of the outfit is muted. Maybe your coworker is jealous of your fabulous shoes!
